We are experiencing an issue with the Manufacturing Pick Split by Operations plugin. The problem is that a full “Pick Components” operation is being generated in addition to the picks split by operations.

The BOM contains four operations, and all components are assigned to one of these operations. However, after confirming the manufacturing order, besides the transfers resulting from the individual operations, one complete Pick Components transfer is still being generated—exactly as it was before the plugin was installed. In addition, the source and destination locations are mismatched - we would expect them to take components from stock and put into Pre-Production, just as it's configured in Pick Components operation type.

The split is based on the work center.

In the native configuration, a single pick is created for the entire build. For large builds involving thousands of products and multiple work centers, this can quickly become a logistical nightmare.

This module enables the pick to be split by work center, so that only the stock required for a specific step of the build is delivered to the appropriate work center at the right time.

IMPORTANT:

In the Components tab of the BoM/MO, enable the “Consumed in Operations” field and specify which operation each component is used in. Each operation is linked to a work center. This is how the split determines which components need to be delivered to which work center.

if all components are consumed in the same operation and, therefore the same work center, there won't be a split.
