Each equipment record includes a service history tab that shows all jobs, repairs, and inspections in chronological order. For more detailed reports, use the "Service History" report action available on equipment records. This produces a comprehensive PDF showing customer information, equipment details, and all service events with the work performed. For compliance inspections specifically, use the "Equipment Inspection History" report which focuses on inspection results, calibration points, and photos from inspections.
Q: Can I track warranty claims separately from general repairs?
The warranty status is visible on all repair orders and field service tasks, but the system doesn't enforce different workflows for warranty work versus paid repairs. You can use the warranty status field for filtering and reporting. For example, create a saved search showing all repairs where warranty status is "in_warranty" to track warranty claim volume. The service history reports show warranty status for each job, giving you a complete picture of warranty versus non-warranty work over the equipment's lifetime.
